Hello solopreneurs,
On Friday we’ve done the one and only B2B Pricing workshop of the Gym 🙌
One thing i’m learning from our workshops is that the value of participating live is 5x:
Get to spend time to actually do the exercises - in a time-boxed manner
Get immediate feedback on what you work on
Get inspiration by seeing what others have just worked on
Get confidence through seeing how we all have challenges with our solo business
Get guidance and examples from the host
As none of the above can be easily benefitted from by reading a newsletter, i’ll prioritize going forward: hosting these practice sessions first for the people interested to join and actually practice for the health of their business.
And sharing the exercises here on the newsletter as a secondary by-product of the sessions. The next workshop will probably be on Customer Segmentation. Stay tuned 🔜
So, here are the 4 exercises regarding Pricing, if you want to practice on your own or with friends:
Exercise 1
Pick one service/product (offering) of yours.
Describe it in 2 phrases: what it is - for whom?
Add current pricing for the offering.
✼
Exercise 2
Revenue model
What is the revenue model for this offering?
(one-time fee, subscription, freemium, pay per use etc.)
Why have you chosen it vs. other models?
List 3 pros and 3 cons of this revenue model.
✼
Exercise 3
Tiered price structure: if you would offer a Good-Better-Best model around this offering, how each of the options would look like?
(what is offered + the price of each tier)
✼
Exercise 4
What arguments do you have for pricing your tiers this way?
How would you improve your new pricing vs. the pricing from exercise 1?
Keep your business fit,
Bülent
